Penguins
Our friends the penguins are some of the favourite animals of young and old alike.
A lovely black and white suit, amazingly calm as they stand on the rocks, but as soon as a bite to eat appears ..! After eating it's time to relax, and bathing is a special time to admire their underwater antics.
The 12 penguins here at Mare Nostrum are "Cape penguins", a species found on the coast of South Africa, and all come from the European breeding in captivity programme.
